The French Resort of Chamonix: Paradise on the Piste

Proud of its place in sports legend, Chamonix is a wonderful place for both casual skiers and competitive. It offers the opportunity to ride the piste or just unwind, the right place for you no matter why you want a weekend away.

Nestled on the northwest Alpine slopes is a settlement that incorporates sixteen small villages known as “Chamonix”. It is well known and highly popular with skiers and mountaineers. The Aiguilles Rouges — to say nothing of the legendary Mont Blanc — is so close that Chamonix naturally becomes the convenient base of operations when you want a skiing holiday. And of course one of those peaks, Mont Blanc, is among the top three natural sites visited by tourists anywhere in the world and tourists are in attendance throughout the year. It’s unusual to find the various specific snow types and slopes for the majority of the biggest winter sports, but here in Chamonix extreme sports aficionados can be sure of finding venues for any or all extreme sports. Hikers and skiers may choose the less extreme trails with wonderful views around Chamonix, usually accessible using a cable car or walking. Skiers of all skill levels are welcome here, as we offer trails and slopes intended to be experienced by novices and casual skiers as well as the trickier runs. While choosing accomodation for a family ski break, catered chalets are the smart move. Such chalets will seem like a home away from home among the peaks and leave you with no cause to give up luxury while on the slopes.

Fully equipped sparing no expense with a variety of modern conveniences and romantic nooks and crannies, Chamonix’s ski chalets provide for any size of group from one man to two on up to large groups. Alpine vacations can create a romantic anniversary or an energetic time for the whole family, and there’s no better place to operate from. You needn’t wait until winter to enjoy an Alpine excursion. In the summer, paragliding, mountain climbing, and hillwalking are popular activities. Outside the activities listed above there’s still a great deal to occupy your time; bargains to acquire, sights to see, and historical points of interest. Coming via transfer from Geneva this is a simple flight to make and following your arrival it will be easy as pie to assemble exactly the right combination of accomodation and sports, which makes it quite effortless to ensure a special getaway!
